What a contrast. Did any reds watch the chelsea match lastnight? I did mainly to watch how Derby set up under lampard. 4 3 3 the system laughed at by many on here early season. A system that that encourages angles and space to pass forward into. Attack to defence very quickly. A system thwt you can quickly change to 4 4 2 or 4 5 1 when defending a lead. Derby had a blend of experience older fellas and youth. All but one including the bench british players. They were strong and very mobile and always looked like scoring against a decent chelsea side. The team has in large has been together for a while but some of the older players different managers would have shifted out.
We are light years away from this under AK as he shipped out some decent players without giving them a chance. A complete overhaul by AK with players no better than what we had or have. I may get pelters for this post but after tuesday i am still confused as to what AK is doing to the playing squad.

I agree what have dias and concalves got that Jamie ward didn't, is hefele better than worrell, is jc doing a better job than tomlin, would Eric get in this team . Yes, I am worrying he has wasted a lot of money now, let's just hope it all comes good what else can we do

Some of the players targeted for their performances are only on loan so if they don't improve will be gone.
Ward was always injured and due partly to age took forever to recover. Worral is out on loan gathering experience. He should come back a better player than he was before he left.
Hefelle is a reasonable squad man.
who have we shipped out that is better than we replaced them with ?

Trentender, we havenâ€™t but equally weâ€™ve not overly bettered them either just now, so I see where the comment is based. I think there is perhaps better players that could have been procured than the ones weâ€™ve got, I agree that they are certainly no worse than what we had before. The constant clamour for Joe Worral canâ€™t be from regular attendees last season, he was absolutely dreadful and wasnâ€™t ready, he will come back to us a much better player surely thatâ€™s win / win isnâ€™t it? I get the frustration but we seem to be picking at every decision even the right ones . Best not to compare us to Derby as they are well ahead of us , while weâ€™ve been avoiding relegation and bound by FFP theyâ€™ve been competing in the top 6. Lampard was always going to be a great manager, irrespective of how much it hurts to say Derby are well ahead of us in every way.

Trentender i am more focussed on the formation and players to suit it. 4 5 1 you need a big quick centre forward, midfielders running beyond the striker and an absolute rock solid back four. Our turgid 4 5 1 is dreadful to watch. We just do not have the personelle to make function.
As for players. Ward was not always injured and never even got on the pitch under AK. Mckay was a great prospect but maybe did not suit the formation but in a 4 3 3 he could have been brilliant. Cummings had a cool head and was arrogant and though a tad slow was a good player and of course tomlin would have been great for us. My point like 2star is nothing brought in for shed loads of cash and wages is any better, in my opinion slightly worse. For me mckay or carvalaho? Mckay all day.

Rams did look good against Chelsea but I also remember they lost to Bolton and Rotherham.
