brereton would have missed the goal by a bigger margin. he was,nt that good in front of goal.in fact most of forest players seem to forget what to do with the ball when they get good chances in front of goal. he,s better off at blackburn.forest are a better team with him gone.

I love how people are ripping in to Brereton. If Forest were near the bottom of the league right now, selling him would have been the worst bit of business since time began.

He will score in the right team but we don’t seem to create typical, traditional goal scorer chances. He’ll do ok though and I for one wish him well he worked hard for the team Carlo, I know you like to see youngsters given a chance but I think his run of games last season convinced Karanka that a different type of player was needed. I think there are a couple coming through that will prosper though mate .

Murphy got stick when he first joined us yet he did the business after a few games, if you take out his grieving he has been a good signing.

Brereton was never going to do well in a struggling side in a positions that do not play to his strengths. We all can be a bit too quick to criticise.

Instead of looking back at what might have been,I prefer to look forward. We now have an excellent prospect coming through in Arvin Appiah. If he can be brought through gradually,unlike Brereton, I think he can be truly special. I do not say this flippantly by the way.
