Much has been said recently about our squad size but surely we don't have a bigger squad than say Villa. How do we compare to other championship clubs?

Its bang average size for a Championship club. We're supposed to be pushing for honours, so square pegs in round holes is out & competition for places is in.

Lets not forget the MO this season is press the life out the opposition for 90 mins & keep the tempo high. there's going to be fitness issues. So quality squad depth is important.

Folk won't see the style yet, folk will tell you the squads not good enough, but I suspect that's the plan.

I don't know about that cjay there still seems a lot of square pegs in round holes at the minute the biggest one being the manager 2 easy games to prove himself

A striker that can play the lone role would of been a great signing, but we're stuck with 2 towards the end of there career just feel the players he has bought attacking wise don't fit into his style of play

interesting article in the Post a few days ago about squad sizes in the championship after some comments in multi media.
Compared squad sizes and number of players used.
we were very much middle of the pile, it just appears like we are top heavy due to influx but there have been loads out of the door, be it some on loan but then we have loaned some aswell
