After a thoroughly intriguing game of football I see the usual suspects are sharpening their knives for AK despite 6 games unbeaten. Unbelievable!

Well played Birmingham for coming up with a game plan to stop Forest playing and isolating our forwards. Good teams grind out results and there were 2 on show today. It's a very competitive league.

Forest played their best full backs and we did not concede from corners or free kicks. Result.

Watson had a mare and gifted the first with a poor pass and believe it or not teams do score from open play! That's Championship Life.

6 team changes showing our strength in depth (and on balance the fans choice), 3 substitutions and a change in tactics. Result.

What did we learn? The Foremoaner's will bleat no improvement from seasons past. Wrong!

Remember this match as today you saw a squad of players play for 95 minutes with belief in their ability and in the manager to not lose the game. Progress from seasons past at 0-2 down with 15 mins to play!

Inspired substitutions that changed the game. Carvalho showed how to play through the lines. Lolley popped one in for the Villa and Murphy the carthorse no one rates showed what a class act he his is taking his only chance in the game.
Special mention to Colback who showed he could close all the gaps playing as the only DM. Changing tactics from AK? Well I never! Time for more humble pie Foremoaners?

The Championship is about fine margins and most of the competitive games get settled in the closing stages which is why AK sets his teams up to defend first and finish strongly. Winning Mentality!

So Foremoaner's please step out of your fantasy FIFA total football world bubble and accept that to get promotion it will not always be pretty but we have a squad building momentum which will improve and be in contention come May. Result!

Onward and Upward.

I think your protestations will fall on deaf ears red. It’s difficult to see positives when the facts seem to say that AK has spent a bomb and improved very little. We are going no where at the minute and it’s very disappointing for us fans.

The way I see things is that the clubs Heirachy have done their bit, the fans have done their bit (big time) the element letting team forest down at the moment is, I’m afraid , Aitor Karanka. His signings a carp as they don’t fit with the tactics , he is opting for giving opportunities to Portuguese potential rather than our home grown Young players. I’m not in the Worrall and Brereton are world beaters club, but let’s be honest the youngsters from Portugal are no better than what we have and will be costing us a far far more than the lads from the academy who can’t get a sniff. Something odd is taking shape here. Tell me why would you ignore Yates, worrrall and Brereton and leave cash out (only to be proved wrong) and not play Osborn in midfield? No way should carvalho, goncalves and Dias start instead of cash and Osborn. I can’t see how Grabban is better than Brereton either. The way I see things now is we’ve got to sell Brereton to fund Grabban - if so that’s a very poor Piece of business from the club.

Could'nt agree more Redexile but would like to add that bringing on Osborn also added to the improvement especially playing him further upfield. He's got the energy needed late on in a game when others are flagging (particularly the opposition defence)
Hope on Wednesday AK leaves the full backs alone but let's Osborn take Geddy or Watsons place.

We can all say we’ve had a bad day at the office, from the off we didn’t look bothered or motivated, yes we are undefeated and it takes time to gel bla bla bla, we’ve signed a lot of players and still have the same problem as last season. The players need to take accountability for there performance,
Some honest questions need to be asked of some of the players, are they motivated by winning and challenging for promotion, because if we keep playing like that we will back on that merry go round.
I still remain positive as I do believe this is the best squad we’ve had in years, so Aitor needs to inject some belief into the players, it may well be the distraction of the transfers of some of the players that’s affecting there play,
But things need to change soon.

Sorry mate total garbage. Second to every ball, out muscled, out fought and did not look like the home team. Krankie said he wanted a full pre season with most of his squad which he got so we could hit the ground running which just hasn't happened, now he's saying a few new signings could give everybody a boost, has just signed 13 of them how many does he need !!!. I hope it improves and changes but we have been here before in fact every season for a while now after a few games the same conversations start again. Football today is impatient, fans, owners playes alike the only difference is krankie spent 30 million this time. Is it Brentford up next away lose to the magpies in the cup then Brentford going to be squeaky bum time win them both it paints a different picture which is the fickle nature of football today.

totally agree with you 2star non of the Portuguese lads look strong enough , Carvalho probably looks ok but not £13 million , we are putting these players in front of our own youngsters , selling Brereton and probably Worrall is very disappointing as for Scorchio's team selection is woeful Collback and Watson meant we were playing 6 at the back ,he can't play a creative midfield player because without Geddy we haven't got one , we don't look like we've spent £20 million plus very well I'm all for the players settling in but when your spending that sort of money then you expect quality to shine through and don't forget they've had a full pre season so Scorchio's honeymoon period is over and we expect better a lot better

Redinexile, karanka got lucky that's all a great strike with his first touch from Lolley, changed the game other than that we created nothing, not one corner nor a single shot on goal.
I know you think the sun shines out of karankas backside, but try watching the game through your eyes, because it was awful.🤩🤩

Your right about 6 games unbeaten but it's also just 1 win in 6,4 of which were at home. Compare our start to that of Leeds. I don't believe their squad is any better than ours but their manager has his team up and at em from the off and they're scoring goals for fun. With the exception of the West Brom game we've started like we're still half asleep. If you've seen so many positives from our opening games then you must have much lower expectations than most of us.

Yesterday's performance leaves me lost for words, truely awful and embarrassing.A point at home to a struggling side isn't good enough.Positives - the 3 subs and a point.
Get well soon Pep

Lolley's strike was not lucky he came on and took up a position as instructed that Brum had not planned for on a set piece and put the ball away.
Sometimes you have to give the opposition credit for doing a good job closing down in midfield and isolating strikers!

Not really interested in what Leeds are doing as they can only go one way as they get worked out and only have one way of playing.
Much prefer us to be on the slow burn as players get used to playing with each other and improve over the season instead of everyone writing players off after a few games.
I see Figs has gone from our best defender signing to rubbish in one game?
As I said in my post too many fantasy FIFA fans demanding instant gratification! It never works out like that in the Championship.

Figs cost us against Wigan as well red.
So karanka sent lolley on and said stand there as one of their defenders is going to head it out to you?
All you've got to do is smash it in?? Lol🤣🤣🤣🤣

Redinexile how can players get use to each other when 4,5,and 6 changes are being made in games.
