Time now for everyone to nail their colours to the Forest mast for the forthcoming season?

As we are constantly reminded by some on this forum that this is a banter site then an explanation from those who disagree should get some healthy banter going before the real business starts!

Mine is a Thumbs Up for the reason that this season AK (other than Bruce) has the best CV for success in the Championship plus has put in place one of the most experienced / best spines of any of the teams and combined it with flair and pace.

Still not sure mate, we have to get a good start - something we’re not very good at. Have we sorted out our pathetic defensive frailties yet. I hope so red - we so deserve a good season. I’ve gone thumbs down as i think there is still a lot to do .

No controversy this time red but if I were going to have a bet my money would be on stoke.
They have made money and then spent wisely on players to get them back.
I think we have on paper made some great signings, but still apprehensive about wether you can bring so many players in such a short time and make it work.
It's not negative just an opion and Bruce and pulls have a better cv.
But the old brigade are getting older and maybe their methods are getting outdated.
So in my opinion we've tried being cheapskate and it's got us knowhere,so the owners are going for it and have backed karanka,so now it's all down to him.
Let's hope it works out and we see success again it's long overdue.

Might get shot down in flames for this but anything top half will do me it's a whole new squad and could potentially take a while to gel look at top managers first seasons most of the time there a bit wobbly and that's with an open cheque book then the second season there unstoppable take pep at man city for example the difference is they were given time because of the reputation something that doesn't happen much in the championship

Well Stevie I went to the furthest one today at cranfleet lock in long eaton,great walk of bike ride four pints for £10,Yes I do have friends😀.
Didn't fall of my perch into the canal but the missus keeps hoping😂
Serious note try it out only open weekends a great place by the river and canal.

I agree with skegs. Now he has the team he wants it's time for AK to come up with the goods. If he thinks that their warm-up for the Oldham game was not serious enough then why didn't he step in and deal with it there and then? There's no excuse for poor discipline however it occurs. If we are unhappy after 10 games then it's back to the same old same old.

Back 4 is a concern for me.Figs not played yet.Worrall only just back from injury.Robinson,don't know much about him.Right back situation? Darikwa not played much and Karanka making it known he wants another right back.
All a bit disjointed for me and I think defensively things will take time to settle.

Perks13 I am not too concerned with back four.You've not mentioned Dawson and don't forget Danny Fox improved massively. And I am confident Sam Byram is on his way also.

Get what your saying Sgetty but how many games have Dawson and Fox played together? You can't just throw a back 4 together no matter how good they are and expect it to work.2 games til start of the season won't be enough either. I'm expecting a steady to start to the season and that it might take 10 games for the team to gel.

Not just the back four that's being thrown together it's a whole team perks.his starting line-up will be interesting can only see pants colback Watson cash and grabban being definite starters,with so much midfield flair might take a while to find the right blend and a lot of chopping and changing.

Agree with both Perks and Ff. I must admit that I've never been an advocate of "hitting the ground running" . It will take time for so many new faces to gel but I feel more optimistic than I have done for many years.

Agreed 79. Suppose what I'm getting at is that defensively we might not be as solid as some might think we will be.This doesn't mean the players or manager are poor it just means it will take time.I'm still quietly confident it will be ok.

Think that's why he's got colback in again as he knows he can trust the pair to protect the back four,Other than suspension or injury think those two will be first on the team sheet.

It wouldn't Sgetty it would be Worrall Dawson and figs 3 at the back with cash right wing back and Osborn left.
I'm Not the manager though and from the sounds coming from karanka it will be a flat back four.
So then you have to find the best pairing from Dawson figs Worrall fox Robinson,Not sure there is a good partnership there but I'd probably try Dawson and figs first.

Now now perks stop making your excuses already he's had all summer with most of them he's done is homework on the players he has bought in yes a bit of time to settle but Mr marankis hasn't forked out this much money to get a mid table finish the players are there the quality is there and the chosen one is there if we lose 7 of our first 10 games somebody will be in trouble just saying ☝️😁

Ha ha Skeg is that a hint of negativity there.Your right though in that massive pressure will be on Karanka.Owners will be expecting top 6 for sure.Id like Byram and Tomlin to finish the signings off.Think Tomlin would take the pressure off the young Portuguese lads.Get them 2 and go for it. makes no difference despite the many new players he as brought in. if players like worral cash and brereton. still miss easy chances and make the same mistakes like they did last season, that cost forest the game.
