I’m glad traore is leaving as we need players off the books and he’s too injury prone. When he played he always gave 100% and was certainly no worse than Worral the wobble, another who needs game time on loan to see if he can improve his game. If last season is anything to go by he’s not good enough

2ster last season worrell had a different back four every other week. And a midfield that didn't protect the defence.
I'd play him this season alongside Dawson an fig in a back 3.
He will improve massively. Burnley offered 10m for him. So dyke obviously saw how good he can be.

Yes point proved entirely there, Worral was bad because the others were but no chance that the others were bad because they were carrying worrall? We obviously watched a different team to each other last year. That defence improved significantly when Worrall was dropped. I doubt dyche offered any where near that and if he did we were fools not to sell.
All that said though I agree entirely that if there is a big player in there Dawson will help nuture it. It’d be amazing if cash, Worrall and Brereton come good . I think we need them too as that academy can’t be justified unless it produces regularly. Hopefully burke, lascelles and Carole have funded it and some recently.

2star worrall has at the moment the unfortunate tendency to drop at least 1 game changing clanger every time he plays, i’m personally giving him the benefit of the doubt because he’s still learning, sometimes he looks quality, a season around Dawson will be career changing for him ,plenty to learn but definitely 1for the future in my opinion

I would agree on the views expressed here re Worrall and last season ( particularly in tandem with Smith ) he was guilty of a fair few major errors.

He would not be my first choice but I hope that a season as " understudy " to Dawson should be of benefit to him.
That said I personally think that he lacks pace and can be quite easily turned which are physical attributes that he needs to improve upon.

As to the supposed 10 million offer from Burnley I think that may well have been pretty good business but perhaps it was an early indication that we are no longer in the position of having to sell to survive/invest.

Roll on Bristol ( £32 a ticket seems steep but I think we may well find a lot of clubs hiking our tickets up ) and

As always .

The defence improved when the likes of bridgcutt Watson colbeck came. Before they came it was like the allimo at times under warburton. And yes worrell and others did make mistakes. And when Uve got a shit midfield and crap fullbacks to play alongside. Mistakes you will make covering for other players. Wether you John terry tony Adams des walker berasi if Uve got rubbish in front of you doesn't matter how good u are. Worrell a young lad and will improve immensely this season

Worrall is a class act otherwise he would not being developed under the new England set up.

Lascelles looked ropey when paired with some our previous back four but has developed into the best uncapped defender in the Premiership.

Many have laid into the fact that he has not been picked by AK but in one of his latest interviews its clear that Worrall has had a fitness issue since the back end of the season.

We will be playing 3 at the back when on the front foot and he will be first pick with Daws and Figs.

The defence improved because of colback and Watson, but the attack suffered for it,hence how many games we went without scoring.
Its all about finding the right balance,Not individuals.
