The 1966 win gave a tremendous boost to domestic football .The following season we were runners up in the league and cup semi finalists from no where playing possibly the best football of any Forest team .
Let's hope history can be repeated !

Yes Carlo Johnny Carey's team of 66/67 was wonderful to watch! We d have won the double that year if Brian Labone hadn't nobbled Joe Baker in the FA cup 6th round.I often used to chat to Bob Mckinlay about it when I was at the old Guildhall Court. Talking of which do you remember seeing Frank Wignall running the old Forest Service Station on Tollhouse Hill and John Winfield at his newsagents shop in the Victoria Centre? My God they'd be multi millionaires now ,playing in this era!
