Earlier read an item regarding '67 FA Cup semi final against Everton. Absolutely fascinating and really well written. I still have goosebumps about two hours later! Any of you guys there at the time I'd love to hear your take on it?

I was there with my dad sgetty.
It had been raining cats and dogs and the pitch turned into a ploughed field but it wasnt unusual back then The place was rammed out, 45 k plus I think , and I was stood behind the wall at the Bridgford End ( The Kop ) on a box with wooden red and white painted rattle in hand.
I can remember it like yesterday when Storey Moore scored the winner. Complete and utter pandemonium.

When we got back to the car on the embankment I stood and waved my scarf and wound up my rattle at all the everton buses passing by.

Only downside was that Brian Labone crucified Joe Baker who didn't play for the rest of that season and apparently wasnt the same player when he did come back.
Dad hated Labone with a passion and always maintained he cost us the league that year

What an atmosphere it must have been creepy! I can only imagine! I have also learnt another lesson today.Don't attempt to read important historical information whilst doing housework. Numpty me!!

It was indeed. My dad was almost in tears. Got lots of memories of him and me at City Ground. Saturdays was in the Kop and midweek night matches sat down in the East stand as a treat
Just long wooden benches with lines painted on with a stencilled number.
Happy days

I was there with my grandad, we had season tickets in the main stand, i still remember an everton fan crying her eyes out at the final whistle, one of the best games I’ve seen at the city ground. By the way storey-moore was the best player ever to represent forest. Period.

I was only three at the time but it's like I can see now! The closest to that for me was FA Cup against Ipswich . 32,000 I think! Crowd surges and the lot . Trent End.Every emotion imaginable within two and a half very short hours!
