It’s interesting how we all see different things. A few are very unhappy about our style at the minute. I had become somebody disgruntled under Warburton I had zero enthusiasm for the games towards the end. I genuinely expected to get beaten in every game we played and for all the perceived attacking football I thought we were awful. I’d much rather watch a team who are hard to break down than a team who just seem so easy to beat - all about opinions though I guess. Perhaps it’s impossible to keep everyone happy but I’m genuinely happy not to lose and know that we can compete against most teams in this league.

Good post 2 star and totally agree. All about opinions as you say.Mine is that we are a better side after 9 weeks of Karanka than 9 months of Warbs.

2 star . No perhaps about it you will never keep everyone happy. Been going nigh on forty years with the same mate and we argue all the time about the game.
As you say its peoples perceptions and expectations

That’s mine too Perks and I’m genuinely looking forward to the games now, as are my kids, they had lost interest a few weeks ago. My oldest two have season tickets and now he youngest wants to come to the games too. Had a great day out today, mother’s Day meal in the riverbank before the game - all ruined if you get beaten.
How’s how I see it, one good striker who makes the odd move that isn’t being made at the minute and players like Colback, Watson and Tomlin find you and goals come. Brereton simply doesn’t have the Intelligence at the minute, it might come.

What i do see though is none of that matters if you are easy to beat. I keep saying it you simply won’t compete in this division with a powder puff defence and midfield - it’s just not going to happen. Because the prize is so great most teams are adopting the ‘don’t get beaten strategy’ first and foremost .

You all keep banging on about Warburton he was never gave the reins like Karanka as been given it’s that simple like I keep getting bored with saying over and over again it’s pretty much like speaking to a brick wall with I love Karanka sprayed all over it let’s see come November he’s beat crap teams so far not seen anything special it’s that simples😁☝️

what warburton failed to do was sort out what was needed in pre season karanka did that in two weeks.lol.warbo spent 5mill + and still didn’t sort out what we all saw that was wrong with the side.

All I would say to any comment is;
Have you seen one decent performance at home since he took over?
And gone away saying yes;
This is what I want to see?
Cus I havn't

Glad you had a good day 2 star.Like you say we need a Striker.Brereton can't hold onto the ball and constantly makes the wrong decision. Also as much as he worked his socks off and put in a great last ditch tackle at the end of the game Osborn doesn't look the answer at left back.Got caught out of position several times today.Sort those 2 positions out and sign some of the lads on loan and we might have a good season to look forward to.
Couldn't agree more Sutton.

Thing is ff he’s come in and his job was to stop us losing and freefalling down the table which we was under warbo can you sit there and say he hasn’t done this?
How many games under warbo in 10months did you watch and think yes this is what I want to see, backward passing passing for the sake of it and keeping the ball in our own half.thats less like football that what we are playing now.

What I saw today was an organised team with a plan, the new signings that have come in are now the spine of the side, and that's with a three week transfer window, Aitor also tried to sign Bamford, which I remember some of the posts on here weren't complementary about it, Now Brit isn't getting a game and I think Bamford has now scored eight, in six games, what I'm trying to say is Aitor we trust and next season we will have a karanka of a team.
Onwards and upwards,

Enough Robbo it's the tactics I hate unless you have the quality to carry it out and we don't.
It's that simple it's boring and is not entertaining in the slightest.
I pay my money and want to be entertained and get value for my money not play tactical genius when he isn't

I go home happy every time we don’t get beat. I’m sick of us being easy meat in this league. Ask Sean Dyche his opinion and philosophy on not getting beaten I’m sure he will say it’s been the bedrock of his style and subsequent success.

A draw was requested and a draw we got, the wish of winning can wait. FF and Skeg, the league takes no prisoners, powder puff play under MW and we were bullied off the pitch. AK has put some steel into the spine and we're no longer soft touches. The only reason AK won't be here come November, is if the owners don't back him in the summer. I think they will. MW tried to build his house on sand, AK on solid foundations. I know whose house I want to be in.FTID

The last two games would of been loses under the last boss and the football would of been no better yet ff would rather see us lose playing worse football than draw playing better and being more organised.that doesn’t make sense to me.yesterday was no more boring than what warbo use to muster up but you know one thing these players WANT to play for karanka and that is a massive step in the right direction.

O and I forgot to say “fine margins” which is a quote that was use by warbo many times when he was here but I had to laugh when he said it again yesterday, clown.

FF79 There are plenty of seats at Meadow Lane if you want entertaining?
You have to have a strong spine to play entertaining football and we are missing a strong pacey goalscoring Number 9 to be able to deliver.
Rowett set his team up to stop us playing and not lose as his job was on the line. You cannot have a go when the opposition take in turns to clatter the man in possession before they get within shooting distance or make a pass.
Forest only had one free kick within shooting distance which Lolley skied. You have to give Direby credit for managing the goal threat either side of the half way line.
Credit Forest with a very strong mentality to resist the provocation and standing firm. This performance provides a great platform for trying to go unbeaten to the end of the season.
A winning mentality will put us in very good stead for next season!

Red, got to be in your top three ever posts that one. From a selfish point of view it’s very insightful because it’s exactly how I see the situation. Once we have a probing clever striker we will see different movement which Colback, Watson Tomlin will thrive off.

Red your predictions are rubbish mate.
To score four goals you need at least four shots.
All sides come with a game plan and it's up to Karanka to have a plan to beat them.
It wasn't working at all for us yesterday but he just sticks rigidly to his one system even against ten men.
You have to change formations at times to beat teams when your first plan isn't working, nearly all managers do this, but he is stubborn in not changing when it's required.
As for fouling?its a man's game and we did a few ourselves mainly Ben Watson, and I don't mind that,
