Very, very quiet on the transfer front, almost too quiet. Now I know our new owners like to do things properly but I would've expected more links by now. If the club feels there is no value in the Jan market and we have enough quality to be comfortable, so be it. I just pray we are not cursed by a couple of key injures, as we are certainly short of numbers at the back and probably up front. Regarding Dawson, I'm not for the sentimental reunion. If he'd come back to Forest, instead of joining Hull, we would still have had a quality Championship defender. I just feel he has missed the boat, where playing for Forest again is concerned. Fresh blood or stick with what we've got please. FTID.

27000 emails offering players is quiet on the transfer front?

Sorry you feel AK is dragging his feet!

Personally I prefer our business being done under the radar and I'm confident we will have 2 or 3 in by next week.

Leave it to the manager I say.
Some of the names and has beens that are being mentioned on here would have me really worried.
He'll know who he wants, but maybe they're not available now,but will be in the summer,no point in buying just to boost the numbers.
Quality over quantity all day.

Why is it so important that we sign players this transfer window? The squad is good enough for mid table as it is. We all agreed at the end of last season that mid table this season would be a huge step forward. Then in the summer the real work can start.

agreed Gazza,I think more important to not let any of our future talent get sold, the squad at the mo will mature together and the future is bright, not adverse to a bit of tweaking though!!

Sorry lads, one match doesn't make our back four suddenly invincible.

It's bound to be a balancing act. If the manager feels we have a strong enough squad to avoid relegation (15-18 more points) but not challenge further up the table why spend now? There will be better buys around in the summer. However, if he feels there might be a realistic chance of a play off place then he could bring in reinforcements now.

The only thing we can say is we've only conceded one in the last three league games and against good champioship sides,So maybe we've turned a corner defensively?

Rogie - it's not about the defence being invincible because it certainly isn't, however there's been a marked improvement since MW left and therefore no need to jump into brash signings. I personally believe the Mancienne/Worrall partnership is one of the best in the league and will only get better over time.

AK probably won't be doing the deals and I suspect we'll only get people in, after we've got some out. 2 max Imo.
