I find it strange that people are looking at the negatives today.

Were we a good side today, no, off course not, did players make mistakes, yes they did, but young players are bound to make mistakes while they learn.

If the young players were the finished article they would not be with Nottingham Forest Football Club.

AK has had little time to prepare the team for today's game, and we only conceded one goal.

Villa are near the top of the table, and I'm sure everyone would say Bristol City are a better team than us, yet Villa put 5 goals past them, that is with Bristol City's manager being with them a lot longer than 1 game.

Yet people want AK to manage at Nottingham Forest Football Club what Bristol Citys manager could not do against Villa even though there is a vast difference in their time in the job.

How many transfer windows has AK had at Nottingham Forest Football Club to get the players he wants.

AK told it as it was in his after game speech, off course we need action, and not words but what action can you take in the very short time that AK has had.

We all have opinions on how we want the team to play, and we are all entitled to air them but we have to be realistic in how quickly it can be done.

When a person takes over the manager's role at Forest they can not access the players, teach the players the required skills, and buy the much needed new players all in about 3 days.

If we think that is possible we are kidding ourselves, is it frustrating, too right it is, but we have to stop kidding ourselves, about 3 days is enough time to work magic.

Karankas post match interview was interesting, he said Young players need direction and more mental strength he mentioned needing more experience and both CB and C.F. so lead me to believe he may look at bringing in a more experienced forward and defender. He took pressure off young players really saying we can’t expect Brereton to play like he did against Arsenal all the time and tht Villa should have beaten us with the experience they have and leaders like JT in their team. I felt we could have got a point today still but Villa did a job and used their experience to win fouls and make it hard. The goal showed a lack of experience and quality with Mills and Smith both being at fault but bar that they didn’t really make many other chances and all their chances came from set pieces which we gave away cheaply, again showing lack of experience. We need more spark going forward and looked like we lacked creativity going forward but that’s been a regular issue. We have relied heavily on Dowell and early in the season McKay to make goals who are both young players. Hopefully Karanka can organise the team in coming weeks and bring in some experience and balance. It is always hard breaking down a team as experienced as Villa once they are ahead away from home! Felt Clough had a better day today and showed glimpses of what he can be with some nice passing and movement and Cash’s willingness to run and battle was good but others weren’t on form Today and Yraoure got done by Snodgrass showing his weakness often and Mills especially for the goal showed his lack of speed. WorrL was missed but Karanka said we need more centre backs. It will be interesting to see what he can do in next few weeks.

Disagree with smith being at fault.you have a split second to decide to come for it or not,he would of seen mills marking him but by the time mills let his man go twice it’s too late.

Sums it up rascal. I think Mills just lost his man for the goal but the rest your spot on. The next 2 games will be tough then we play mid and lower table sides and we need to turn it around there.

It was 4 yards out! Mills did lose him but Smith came for it and got nowhere near it.Defenders and Keeper errors all season.Enough is enough. If the excuse is age then go play league 2,old or young.

Enough will be enough perks, I think it will. Yesterday we were good for a 0-0 all day long. One error cost us and played right into Villas hands because it meant they had to simply see the game out, with Bruce as manager and JG marshalling the troops they have such tactics in the bag.

Keep them out and things may shape differently as they might take a few more risks as the game wears on insearch of the win etc. We will never know now as a poor combination of defending and goal keeping gifted them the game and enables them to call all the shots. New Jeeps, CB, CM and CF if at all possible please. See traore is getting some stick, I didn’t think he was that bad. Grealish stretched lichaj as much as Snodgrass stretched traore I thought.
Terry, Adomah, grealish and snodgrass were the differentiators yesterday, we’ve got no one anywhere near that level I’m afraid.

Cuoldnt agree more 2star
Still think with Terry and Chester having Brereton in their back pocket Karanka should have put walker on to help Ben and go more direct instead of sticking to the same game plan.
There was no point bringing Bridcutt on at all he wasn't going to create anything.

Our big problem defensively is communication. A defender of Mills experience shouldn’t have lost Hogan really but Smith should have called but this is another regular problem. Machienne is decent but quiet and Worral is excellent young lad. But we need a organiser and leader back there like JT! I actually am a big fan of Smith, Worral and Manchienne but feel as a unit they mess up! We need either a first choice Centre back, goalie or in my opinion a left back who is a leader.
