After the euphoria of our great win over Arsenal.
We are back to reality tomorrow, the championship, new manager on TV under the spotlight first game.
Win lose or draw?
Let's not draw conclusions from his first game ,let's give it the full two and a half years and let the man do his job.

Totally agree.And also remember this is a results business.Games of football can be won in many different ways and not always with champagne football as a few think we are entitled to.Not felt this good about a new manager since Stuart Pearce although that was more for obvious reasons than his management credentials.

Really looking forward to today's game, karanka has only had a couple of days with the squad, and after last week the expectation are higher than ever and Aston Villa have been in good form so it might be a different game today maybe 1-nil or 2-1 either way.
Hopefully the players give a good account of themselves and with a couple of additions in January in the right areas we can challenge any side in this division, and maybe just maybe scrape into the playoffs.

When was the last time we won a game playing champagne football?i don’t think I was alive then.forest have never played champagne football.
All we ask for is another good solid performance from the lads and each and every one puts 100% in the build from thereif we do that the results will come.

Time in football is a commodity only afforded if some (No matter how small) sign of progress can be seen.
You wanted Warburton given more time. Do you still think he deserved more time?
If we Don't win another game this season and get relegated and Don't win a game in league 1 for the first 10 matches under Karanka do you still think we should give him the full two and a half years?

Just give 6 month contracts out then Fred that's about your attention span with our managers.
If the board deem him to be the right man and give him a 2 and a half year contract, then let's have the stability of that.

Length of contract means nothing though does it?
We are all for stability but in the right circumstances.
You cannot say give someone two and a half years if they are clearly not up to the job even if it takes one and a half years to prove that. It is a ridiculous statement to make.

In case you didn't know That's how it works in football.
Basically the contract only guarantees that the manager (if proven not to be up to the task) will be paid up for the length of his contract even if his employment is terminated. It is in no way a guarantee their services will be utilised for the duration of said contract.

Yes karanka needs the full term on his contract to achieve what he says he can do for forest.
Karanka as we know likes a watertight defence so no more weak goals.
Perks is right tippy tappy antics don't win games unless you're Barcelona etc just hard work, grit and determination is all that's needed along with confidence and belief.

After taking over at Boro, Karanka took them from near the bottom to 12th in his first season.Following season lost in Playoff final,3rd season promoted. I'd take that! As long as we see steady progression think we will all be happy.
