I would like to know what fellow fans think of Warburtons signings this season so far, Murphy, Cummings, McKay, Darikwa, Bouchalakis and Dowell. My view on them is, Murphy, as been a good target man and he still as a goal in him but time is not on his side now and sometimes it shows. Cummings, good record in Scotland but unlikley to do it in championship although playing off a Murphy type would see him in a better light. McKay, great on his day, but needs to produce on a regular basis. Darkwa, if Burnley really did get 2 million for him they must be chuffed as he doesn't look good enough for championship, despite Warburton claiming he is a talent. Bouchalakis, great start with two stunning goals but frozen out like his countryman Vellios so it is very difficult to judge him. Finally, Dowell, goalscoring midfielder with a big future, probably back at Everton unfortunatley but does need to add aggression to his game. that's my view on the half dozen incoming players who are now half way through the season with the Reds. Nice to hear other opinions.

Fully agree with your assessment of Dowell but like I,ve said before I would like to see him return to Everton in January.
Just blocking the progress of Cummings ,Clough Cash , Bererrton ,Bouchalakis ,Grant Edsner by getting a regular first team slot .
We are improving him at the expense of our young players which dosen,t make sense to me .
Loan players should be used for positions where you are struggling otherwise use your own players .

About right retford. 2 unbelievable substitutions that to my mind damaged players clough against wednesday and mckay v derby. Like velios we will never know re bouchalakis. Murphy will get 15 goals but he defo can't play 2 games a week.

Murphy is a quality signing, his positioning is very good and holds the ball really well, knows how to bring others into play, and able to get 20 goals with the right service.

Cummings i think is a hard worker, his positioning is pretty good, and knows where the net is. The problems he has does not have a lot of pace over a long distance, and he needs to bulk up a bit.

McKay can go as high in the game as he wants, he has pace to spare, controls the ball with both feet and know how to score. He does lack consistency butthat will come with time.

Darikwa for me is not a defender, he knows only how to get forward, and his positioning is poor, he needs a free role on the wing.

Bouchalakis for me is not a defensive midfielder, he is a box to box midfielder and with a regular start and a bit of confidence would score regularly.

Dowell is very good for his age but does needs to know when to rough it up and when to use his silky skills. I do agree with Carlo he is holding the progress of other talented Forest players.

Retford Red you are pretty much right. We've got players who can hold where we are just about. Dowell will leave because he's premier material. We need to be looking 3 years to get the right team together whilst the club is sorted out from top to bottom. Any more additions will not necessarily improve the team much; one man will not make a difference.

Agree with your assessment Retford, but with Darikwa I'm afraid that if his only asset is attack then we have plenty of players in front of him and at 2 million was a waste of money.

Bsered

If any player we are after is not much better than what we already have we should leave them where they are and try improving what we already have.
