Iam not sure how correct I am on this but I remember reading that back in the days before fawaz bought the club and we were in trouble financially that we agreed a deal with spurs where they bought out that clause in Dawsons contract about us getting a percentage of any future sell on fee in return for us getting a very much needed cash injection. What I can remember it was in an interview with Frank clark when he was chairman.

There is a sell on fee involved, but it's only above a certain fee.

I've had a word with nixon and he thinks it will be a sell on fee based on spurs profit. They paid 4mil they're selling at 4mil so no profit which means no sell on fee. Shame though
