Been told Geddy is done and will join from 24th of this month so as to play in play offs. Another midfielder and a striker also being worked on. Bob

1.) 19 Feb 2014
Guedioura is not the type of player we need right now

{Ed034's Note - you mean someone that will improve and help create??

2.) 19 Feb 2014
I have also been told about Geddy from a good source but we could sign him today and he could play in the final just the same as QPR have done today with Morrison from West Ham.

Uttoxeter

3.) 20 Feb 2014
Morrison not to sign until friday.

4.) 20 Feb 2014
Morrison doesn't sign till Friday as announced by QPR.

5.) 20 Feb 2014
21st is the key date

6.) 20 Feb 2014
He trained with them today.

7.) 20 Feb 2014
So we are going to loan yet another recently injured player? Surely too much of a risk?

8.) 20 Feb 2014
Doesn't matter who we get on loan, with Forests bad luck, injuries, giving away silly goals and late goals, will not even end up in the play offs!

{Ed034's Note - not the brightest of posts really. have a look at the situation without your announce of last night and come back

9.) 20 Feb 2014
Gueds isn't the type of player we need. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!. Do some people actually watch us play or just read the plonkers on social media?

He was excellent for us and would be if we got him in - a superb signing eres hoping.

10.) 20 Feb 2014
Correct, Guedioura is not the type of player we need right now (IMO) because he is not a defensive MF who sits in front of the CBs, breaks up the opponents' attacks and keeps it simple by retaining possession, i. e. he is the opposite of those qualities. I would gladly have him in an attacking or more advanced MF position but he proved he was incapable of playing the CDM role and the likes of Reidy didn't appreciate his carelessness so why do you think he will be any different this time around?

{Ed034's Note - we need to replace both Lansbury and Vaughan. guedioura can play the holding role and also the attacking role. put him alongside reid or jara, rather than holding on his own, he will be ideal for what we need

11.) 20 Feb 2014
Well said edski. Key injuries bad luck 6 games in 18 day's, billy been in the job for only 1 year with a new squad. Playing a side with continuity, top of the league, with a fully fit squad and had 10 days rest, I think we have done marvelous and I think if fester had played a couple more games in those 10 days then sum of their last ditch tackles to stop certain goals last night mite not have been and we could have walked away comfortable winners. So yes a bit of a silly statement really ( mr Maynard)

12.) 20 Feb 2014
Yeovil away, lost all their home games apart from 0-0 draw with injury ravaged Brighton. Beat Forest 3-1. Late goals home and away Blackpool, 3 points dropped. Late goals v Reading, 3 points dropped. Late goal v Bournemouth, 2 points dropped, late goal v Bolton 2 points dropped and THEN last nights calamity. Conclusion Forest simply not good enough for top 6 finish. And add to that strange management decisions ( Halford as centre forward with 5 fit strikers on the bench )

{Ed034's Note - we are top six and are top six by some distance to seventh, even with all those points you think we have dropped.
take your head out of your backside and have a look at the league table. look at the unbeaten run we have just been on, look at how many games we have lost, look at the situation we find ourselves in after 31 games. we are closer to 2nd than we are to seventh points wise.
your comment has no foundation whatsoever and are making yourself look rather silly

13.) 20 Feb 2014
Any chance of having the worst post of the week award along side the best? I Think the one above wins hands down for me, if you came out with that carp at a match I think you'd be put in your place to put it politely

14.) 20 Feb 2014
I do wonder what goes through some people's heads and/or what some people see when they watch a game! Guedioura would be a good replacement for Lansbury as he can play that box to box role, drives forward when he has the ball and can create opportunities. Like you said Ed, with Reid and Jara in there as well that's a very good midfield. If we can add an extra midfielder as well then even better. Get Lichaj back in there as well as Hobbs and i'd be confident that we could get 2nd. Playoffs looking very solid at the moment though so no need for all of the moaning that we keep seeing. COYR.

15.) 20 Feb 2014
The league table don't lie, yes we have dropped some points along the way but that's football YOU can't WIN EVERY GAME we have had a lot of bad luck with injury to key players when they are playing the best football of their forest career, the team is now starting to gel & if we don't go up this season we will be the BEST team in this league next season then on to the prem, every one will make a mistake from time to time but look at the team billy has put together this is the best team I have seen since 94/95 season just give them a bit more time

16.) 20 Feb 2014
I think that the worst thing for fans views is us being out of the prem so long. Many fans on the odd occasion me included get panicked into if we don't do it now we'll never do it thinking. We have had a few false dawns in the past If we had been out of the prem for a shorter time we would be more able to see how well we are doing. Especially with the players we have out. We have a basis of a really V. good team a great new owner and are in the position that was the goal at the beginning of the season. All in all the best potential in years

17.) 20 Feb 2014
Just what we need to replace Lansbury. Strong midfielder who can win tackles and headers, plus if he can score a few of his thunder shots along the way.

18.) 20 Feb 2014
I wish someone would do the maths for this period to the play off final, we were told last week it was 17th Feb? 93 days from Sat 24 May (the Championship POF is on Sarturday this year) is 21st Feb, depending if you count 26 May as day 1.

19.) 20 Feb 2014
Can't understand why we're waiting so long to get loan players in. The point about needing players for the play off final is very dubious. Surely would have been better to push for what looked to be a very achievable second with better players, rather than settle for the play off lottery! We all know how good we are in a knock out situation.

{Ed034's Note - doesn't it make sense not to go for broke and have them available if needs must??

20.) 20 Feb 2014
Ed, keep up the good work. can't negative people see we played the league leaders with half our players out, and they were full strength, shows you that some people ain't happy unless they can moan. COYR.

21.) 20 Feb 2014
I think we really need to give Bill Davies some huge credit. No team in the division could cope with our injury crisis and be where we are.

Lasellces has been superb but Wilson and Hobbs best defenders in division.

Lichaj is our strongest full back (imo).

Lansbury is premiership class.

Have faith

22.) 20 Feb 2014
What about Lansbury and Vaunghan r they defo out for season or could they b fit enough for play offs?

{Ed034's Note - they could be, but being out for so long, it is going to take time for them to get up to match fitness

23.) 20 Feb 2014
Ed, you mentioned in a repost to a poster above that we have BEEN on an unbeaten run - We are still on it! (Blades? Who?)
all these neg posts can get you like that ;)! COYR!

{Ed034's Note - we will start saying 'the unbeaten league run'

24.) 20 Feb 2014
To be fair I agree on some level that he shouldn't really be coming back to the club because of the circumstances in which he left, but he's pretty much the best quality were going to get in the loan market to fill the void left by lansbury and vaughn. Quit whining, it ain't permanent.

25.) 20 Feb 2014
Id love geddy back providing he doesn't give away so many free kicks like he did previously he's class exactly what we need which is an agressive strong player that can create chances and break up play but he isn't very disciplined

26.) 20 Feb 2014
Talk is we have a player coming in tomorrow from the prem, could be Geddy.

27.) 20 Feb 2014
The guy talking about the 93 days and the dates got it wrong!

28.) 20 Feb 2014
Pulis says he won't decide if Geddy can come till next week!

29.) 20 Feb 2014
Really don't understand all the negativity, but makes sense if you've ever been to the City Ground and heard all the grumbling.

We more than matched the league leaders last night.

Geddy would be a superb loan, we are in desperate need of an attacking midfielder to help Reidy out - he's knackered.

30.) 20 Feb 2014
The good news is that the first goal last night has put off any scouts who had come to watch Lascelles and Darlow. Nice work gentlemen

31.) 20 Feb 2014
To be honest we need options, I am a forest fan, no question of that and it's my right to criticise too, we need to change things/personnel because 8 games now we have conceded late goals that have cost us a win or lost us a game. That's why we aren't in the top two. Pep would be a quality addition and knows the set up. Plus gives us options on the bench. I think radi could be a good impact player of the bench, killer passes that will unlock tired defence for the likes of cox, djebbour and hendo (providing he isn't behind bars)

32.) 20 Feb 2014
Well said, it's your right to criticise. We have dropped too many points through late goals given away. We haven't purchased the 20 goals a season striker. Without Reid in fact we'd be nowhere. Billy has made some bizarre decisions, the latest of which pulling Reid off last night when he is the most likely to create something from nothing in the final 10 minutes. Yes, we are in a good position bearing in mind the amount of injuries we're carrying - but given the amount we've invested and the size of the squad it's not actually that astounding and Billy needs to stop overplaying it because it's having a negative impact, just as baldly stating only a week ago that Lascelles is not a first-choice centre-back. Psychology is not his main strength. We're doing well - we should be doing better. Good news is though that this only takes a little bit of tinkering, not any wholesale changes.

33.) 20 Feb 2014
Reid was taken off because he had lost his rag. Quite minor but obviously he lashed out at Kevin Phillips in the bet after Leicester equalised.

34.) 20 Feb 2014
Davies pulled Reidy off? Crikey, I thought he just subbed him!

35.) 20 Feb 2014
Not the 20 goal a season striker again!

We're the third highest scorers in the league. We're doing ok. It doesn't matter where they come from. Paterson and Reid are doing a great job chipping in from midfield. If they had no goals and a striker had 20, would that be better somehow?

36.) 21 Feb 2014
Reidy was limping between having the ball, so guess he was subbed to save him?
