It has been reported that Forest are unwilling to pay Colback £50,000 a week should we agree with Newcastle a fee.

To me 30 grand per week but then again he is a good player we need players of his quality if we are going places.

No way should we pay any player 50.000 a week for championship full stop

Should not even pay £30,000 a week.

I'd offer him £25K a week and £50K if we get promoted. Promise him a possible route to coaching if he ends his career at Forest. He is a good player for Yates to learn from and Yates emerging is going to save us millions...

I'd love to see him stay but he isn't a 50k per week player. His agent has done him very proud getting him that deal.

I've said before that I don't think he'll stay if we aren't promoted.

Colback is good but not upto Grealish’s standard . We have plenty of midfielders. So he either accepts whatever a good player at our club gets say Grabban /,Lolley or he goes. Who could blame Britt for moving for a better wage, one more injury to that knee and he is out vis a vis CC. The club wishes promotion without Colback it will still happen without Lolley it is a lot less likely

We need to clear out the older guard in midfield Watson /Geddy/ Bridcutt sign Colback and bring in James Milner as Captain next season as he is out of contract. Quality over Quantity!

Why compare Colback with Grealish? Two different types of player.

£50k per week is too much for a Championship side to be paying for one player, but then again we're probably paying well in excess of £50k per week for several players that rarely make the matchday squad. Maybe £50k per week would be doable if the rest of the wage bill is balanced correctly?

SSWE, Even if £50,000 is doable it would unsettle the dressing room.

If we ever get into the prem we will have to pay a hell lot more for players wages than we are now

Footballers wages are a total disgrace anyway, none of us should be discussing 10k a week for kicking a ball about?

Villa are paying Abraham £65k per week. Mings £1m loan was over 14ish games. Lansbury is taking a good wage for little game time. Villa's gates maybe 40k plus but can they be operating within FFP rules?

We haven't got to agree fee with Newcastle for colback. His contract is up in summer. 30k a week no more

Red always, You seem to have missed Colback himself said he checked with his agent, and he has another year left on his Newcastle contract.
