Hopefully Karanka has seen that Darikwa and Benny are the weak links at full back in the first two outings. If we are to improve them it is surely ta ta benny and ta ta darikwa

Weak link if any has been not been capatilising on our chances and dominance. Darikwa i agree has been our worst player, hesitant and gives the ball away. But benny is solid as he is always. Say ta ta to our player of the season last season have a word.

Dont get why you are so down on Osborn. Terrific little player wherever he plays.

Benny is no leftback. Always gives it his all but falls over too much and makes poor decisions. He was runing back to the goal line instead of attacking the danger when wba scored. Darikwa just not a rightback either. When you play 3 5 2 you might get away with these 2 but in a back four not a chance. Why is Robinson not playing???.

Spot on Rutland, Osborn puts in a shift but he isn't a left back, he runs round like a little terrier snapping at people's heals but all to often gets found out of position. Is the old debate around, what position is his position? Most people will say attacking mid but as you will see as the season goes on when the Portuguese lads start to gel, he ain't much good at that either. Work rate 110%, substance very much lacking.

Shows how dreadful we were last season for Osborn to win player of the season. Excellent point made about not taking chances. however , all successful teams need to also defend narrow leads which we are incapable of doing. I’m not sure what game you are watching if you can’t see That Osborn and darikwa are the weak links at full back, which doesn’t make Osborn a bad player by the way , it just means he’s no fullback. Whether there is a place for hi. In the team elsewhere nowadays is a seperate debate altogether. Like Brereton and Worral we may find benny is only going to be third choice this season.

Not sure all the criticism of the full backs is warranted to be honest after just two games against two sides that have the potential to finish in the top 6 all players need a number of games under their belt before they hit top form

Redmarsh - he played at lb for much of last season and he hasn't adapted to the position through the summer, still the same frailties.

Far too much nonsense has been going on over the last 2-3 years regarding Benny. He's one of our best players, but I guess these people just don't want to give up.

Well bsered this will be the season where both veiws are put to the sword - we really will find out if Osborn is the player we think he is now we have some better ones than before .
