Incidentally those of us who want to cash in on our academy products should remember that Dawson,Reid,Jenas,Lascelles etc have had their best years at other clubs and we have not reaped the long term benefits of our nurturing. Short term profits can lead to long term decline!

Stokey I'd still argue we got good money for these players at times when we needed it.When you need the money and the big guns come knocking it normally ends in a sale.Lascelles is the one that might come back to haunt us but then again his sale paid for Britt and Antonio who were sold on for 22.5 million
