Carlo and Sutton make a very valid point about Evtimov. I have often thought the lad deserves a better chance to prove himself considering how long he as been at the club. If memory serves me he made one mistake against Sheffield Wednesday and gone, discarded to be forgotten. Smith made many mistakes but was never treat in the way that Evtimov as been. Really hope AK gives him that chance before sending on his way as I think he might surprise a lot of people. Pantillimon is still the pick of our current crop though. U REDS.

Retford can't remember Smith making many mistakes and he kept us up last season v Ipswich. Hasn't done much wrong and suddenly he's 3rd choice.I feel sorry for him,very unlucky imo.Hopefully he 'll keep working and prove AK wrong. Must be a bit demotivatedthough but he's young and will bounce back.

Smith and Kapino just need experience. Both are sill young especially for keepers and though Kapino played regularly in Championship season for Olympiakos and has played for Greek national team and in Champions league he is in a new country and doesn’t speak much English yet but I think given time he could be decent, I feel he looked ok with crosses and shot stopping but his control of area lacked and communication but that may be a language issue which can improve. Karanka said he liked Smith but he needs more experience. I would like to see Kapino stay and be back up next season and Smith maybe go on loan to league one for a season.

Hoofing is better than the poor distribution from Smith is it not?how many times did smith put us under pressure after poor passes out from the back?but I suppose that’s the way barca and city play isn’t it?

Sutton we don't play that type of football under Karanka,so Smith's distribution wouldn't be a problem.
When your hoofing it to a young lad up fr0nt with an ageing midfield behind an 40 yards away,even if he wins it??
