No nas according to pullis his form has dropped off so he sayes that he must try different options so far with results

Pullis is like lots of other managers ,if a player isn,t running his b------,s off he dosen,t pick him .
It dosen,t seem to matter that the player given a chance 9/out 10 times will score .
Sir BC said scoring is the hardest job in football ,but nowdays it looks like they prefer robots ,be no place for Jimmy Greaves in these managers teams ,Jimmy said when asked to run more "my job is to score !
CARLO

{Ed001's Note - Johan Cruyff always said players should run less and instead use their head to make the right runs. I think I would take his thinking over Pulis every time!}

Pulis thinks he got Saido Berahino again and cannot cope with a goal scoring number 9 as he might get blamed for playing exciting attacking football?

Ed001

Cruyff was a absolutely brilliant player, and the statement you mentioned is bang on, but in your opinion what do you think to the way he treated Lineka while they were at Barcelona.

{Ed001's Note - to be honest I don't really know anything about that. I am busy researching him for an article I am writing but not read anything about that. It was before my time to really remember it. So thank you for making me feel young... well younger anyway.}

No problem, glad i managed to make you feel younger.

Lineka joined Barcelona, i'm not sure if Cruyff was already the manager, or he joined them while Lineka was already there. Cruyff did notbrate Lineka as a striker so played him on the wing.

Lineka worked hard, and did a lot of running but wa infective.

{Ed001's Note - Cruyff would not have signed someone he didn't rate and he had full control when he managed there on transfers. He was very much a 'do it my way or don't do it at all' type of guy. Seems odd though as he would, on the face of it, be a good fit for the way Cruyff thought about football. I will have to see if anything comes up about that in my research. Cruyff was a very spiky character that is for sure, but defo a genius about football.}
