Article in the paper today explaining why MW has been fired. The owners ambitions are to challenge the playoffs this year and the form is going in the wrong direction. The Bolton win bought time but we are now 10 points back.

MW was also causing discontent by his constant rotation which did not facilitate any sort of consistency. Some of the dressing room had been lost, and when that happens there is only one way - the door.

Karanka has apparently held initial talks. He may not be swashbuckling but I want to see wins, points and competition at the top of the table.

Some of the dressing room lost? That always happens in a big squad as some players inevitably miss out on game time. Warbs wanted to stop that happening by trimming the squad. He wasn't a total idiot.

If you were Vellios or Ward (established internationals) and couldn't get a game would you be happy?

As for the problem being rotation, if you don't rotate a bit then half the squad never play and you get unhappy players. Nobody said management was easy.

Redcyclist: you know he's lost the dressing room when Eric has to take over on the pitch and looks as though he's the only one up for it, despite his contract being ignored. He did it with Montanier and again at the death against the black Cats.

We have only dominated one home game all season, Forest fans like to see attractive passing attacking football, organised defence and a tackle being made.
I like to see a passing game but it must have a purpose. Our passing is so slow with no zip, side to side, more back passing then forward passing. Static forwards gon't help.
Poor tactics and football awareness lost Warburton his job. Never expected to be involved in top six this season but we are in relegation form again.
The current squad could perform better under a new manager given the chance.

If MW is such a great manager why have 25 attacking players and then wonder why the dressing room is unhappy at him playing one up front?

He deserves everything he got.

I would think only signing one inept defender to replace our only decent defender when everyone else can see the defence required major surgery won’t have helped. Not to mention the utterly embarrassing climb down around sidelining our best defender in favour of an inept one sent a shudder of doubt through the board room, a real indicator something wasn’t right I’d sugggest. What would you think if he was working for you and entrusted with your funds and investment? Two things will happen now the defence will play better clearly showing the managerial teams coaching deficiencies or they will continue to be poor demonstrating what a poor decision it was not address in the summer having had a adequate time at he club last season to analysis and evaluate our weaknesses.
