Reading a report Maranakis has a preferred replacement lined up who could be in place in a matter of days?
Only name I have heard is Pack Herrera? Any other rumours flying about?
It also states that McParland has left the club as he has failed to sell players like Hobbs and has brought some young players into a tough league

Its the right time, there was no progress being made, if anything performances were getting worse. Now the new manager will have the transfer window to bring his own players in and hopefully kick start the season.

Well the rumour of mcparland at half time was from someone who works within the club,he did say mcparland had resigned though.

Davis weire's departure about to be announced by the club.
Yes I think you are right on the McParland departure FF79

All respect to your source FF, if I'd have known it was so reliable.😉

Good. We couldn’t suffer that garbage any longer.

It's been coming so no surprise or disappointment from me. 5 defeats in last 7 is not acceptable.

A few in the stands yesterday.

Absolutely gutted with the decision. Take derby as an example, struggling through the start of the season but they kept there manager and now see themselves 2nd. Bristol City are another example, nearly relegated last season but survived and kept Lee Johnson, now there 3rd. Not saying this would definitely happen to forest but I find it a bizzare decision. All plans for January out the window

Forestmatt. With all due respect, the sheep had a bad start but got better. Forest, on the other hand, had an indifferent start but got worse not better. Bristol City only kept Lee Johnson because they couldn't get the other managers that they wanted.

O'Driscoll for manager!!!

i know everyone has their own opinions and i respect that but to say no progress has been made is unbelievable. we finished last season staying up on goal difference and are now currently 14th, which i think 95% of the fans wouldve been happy with at the beginning of the season. because of a run of good form where won won something like 5 in 8 everyone raised their expectations and became impatient. seems like marinakis is just like fawaz. impatient.

You cannot attribute much of that success with MW?
What about the new owner and structure?

Don't worry the club have proper people in place who will install new football puppets.
Pull the strings and watch them dance. If they don't make the crowd smile and bring success change the puppet.

3 wins in 2 months is relegation form. Worst defence in the league. 14 defeats. And people think it will get better?

Realise S O’D suggestion is probably in jest but we haven’t been in a better position since he was sacked for no good reason.

I feel disappointed. I want us to keep a manager and be stable and thought MW could do the job. I just think he wanted his way and was too stubborn to change when it wasnt working as Burnsy said. I didn't want change but yesterdays result hurt and its the first time I have looked at the bottom of the table with worry. I am not happy but not surprised.l

We need to realise that it won’t happen over night! We are a club with huge issues and poor structure behind the scenes and have been for over a decade now. Our squad is a mish mash of old journey men and in experienced youth and we need a manager who can balance the team whilst balancing the books and the board need to give them time to succeed.
A young manager from lower leagues would be my choice someone like Graham Alexander or Paul Hurst.

@MCRTree

I wasn't joking about O'Driscoll. He would be the perfect man to work with the type of players at Forest. It might be wishful thinking but I'd love to see him back!

Me too. He was appointed too close to the start of the season and didn’t have much choice with what was out there. Made some good loan signings and persuaded Lansbury to sign for us. Was baffled by his sacking when we were just a point off the play offs. Liked his style of football too

Gary was so good last time he went back to his normal job.
