It would be wrong to say it is ok for the lads to keep giving the opposition a goal in the early stages, let alone anytime during a game, off course it is not.

We gave Ipswich the lead three times, although that is not good enough we did get back in the game twice which is a sign that they have the bottle, and believe in the manager.

There is no getting away from, the lads very often are stuck in their own half pondering who to pass to and wasting valuable time when with a bit of gumption could be getting the ball forward and putting pressure on the opposition.

What we need to understand though is that no system is turned into a well oiled machine overnight, i can not say for sure but i would suggest Wimbledon did not get their system sorted in one season.

I would say there was less pressure on them to do well and went under the radar until they honed their system to the point they took the leagues by storm.

Warburton's plan seems to be bringing in young players then have the odd experienced player along side of them and trying to play a slick passing game.

Warburton's plan has two problems, the first is young players lack consistency, the second is that nowadays slick passing is a fading art unless you are in the very top leagues in the world.

What is a positive of wanting to play slick passing, once it has been honed is, when we get in the Premiership we will be more likely to stay there.

Warburton's way is something until it is fine tuned will be like pulling teeth by a bit of string on a door, it will take time and hurt like hell. We have however waited many years will two or three make any difference.

if anyone has forgotten we beat most of this team 3-0 to stay up last season. since then there additions have hardly been awe inspiring. In the meantime we've changed our team pretty much wholesale albeit in defence , and barely 20 games later we lose like that today concedind 4 poxy goals against by now you've probably guessed what i consider very ordinary oppostion.

Leeds are the only team to comphrensively take us apart and they didn't score 4 ffs, MW only makes like for like changes seldom makes tactical changes. i was unfortunate enough to be at Reading for instance and it was clear after 10 mins what was required.Did he change to avoid the blindingly obvious.

No his w subs were completely like for like just throwing on fresh legs hoping something would happen Hmmm, to say the jury is still out is an understatement.Dont necessarily want him gone but someone definitely needs to have a word in his ear!!

Systems??? Football is a simple game complicated by idiots. Their is a goal at each end of the pitch. You defend one and attack the other. Cloughie would wet himself with talk of this nonsense

What idiots like pep, mouriniho, and every other manager in any major league in the world?
You have to have as system of play.
Well seeing as there is a goal at each end we could just play 5 defenders and five attackers, job done.
Blimey it is simple,I've been watching idiots manage for years🤔🤔

When we beat Ipswich at home 3-0 we played a back 3 with wing backs and overlapping wingers, overloading the wide positions. We aren't playing that format at the moment with a definite back 4 so . .
I am certain we will get better as a team with MW at the helm, we have to show more patience

Systems??? So a system is a rigid way of doing things and you stick to the system. Ah that's where we are going wrong. Not sticking to the system. Footbal is a fluid ever changing ebb and flow. You can have a formation thst you set out with that you can change due to circumstances but a system does not allow for change. Fact. Systems are things that people get bogged down in fact. We need personelle who are good at their job, can adapt to an evolving situation and be able to embrace change. Do you think that warnock gets his players bogged down with systems? No his players get stuck in wind up the opposition, makecthem make mistakes and they fight to the end. Thatscwhy clough and velios are out won't stick to the system. Think about it.

Why do people keep bringing top premiership managers in to it?
They play their "systems" and if it does not work they spend 50 million on a new player to fit into that system until it works
We are Forest not man u or city
We can't keep buying and buying, if the system does not work we need to change the system to suit what we have and that is where we are failing
No plan B

Warbos problem is he persists to use the same tippy tappy passing even when he can blatantly see that it’s not working,as soon as he sees it’s not working he should change it rather than stick with it but he is either too stubborn or a poor manger.
