The lad is a future England Captain, Hobbs is decent and would be good along side Joe but not getting a chance. Mills seems to have MW under his spell.

Until we can keep a clean sheet I can't see how we can give our defence too much credit. Goals against stats are as bad as last season. Two seasons of unfathamably poor defending which the manager took the flak for last season. I doubt if anyone who attends the games and witnesses the inept defending would say otherwise. It's very concerning how easily we are picked apart this will become a problem unless we tighten up. Hopefully by MW will resolve this problem as if sure these defenders aren't as bad as they look.

*cough* Milwall . Settled defence with protection from DCM will improve things for a start! Players like Hobbs, Mancienne, Worrall, Traore and even Mills. plus Fox are more than capable at this level. Not been given enough protection from midfield and over playing the ball when simple clearance needed. This defence cam be decent and squad size, budgets etc make changes unlikely in this window.
