Anyone else think Fridays game in Bristol could be dougies's last?

To put it bluntly - No
and if anyone does think that they must be crazy.

Well should we lose, how many more matches will he be allowed to turn it round?

Would never advocate giving Freedman the boot, but you can't argue his record ain't that great.

If we get beat paying too much respect to Bristol City with the defensive approach then you would have to contemplate the fact Dougie hasn't the all round game to keep us out a relegation scrap.

Brilliant a few weeks ago he couldn't do know wrong away wins at qpr and Birmingham who were unbeaten at the time then quite a dominant display against Middlesbrough. Now it's freedman out who shall we get in mourinho or guardiola

14 Oct 2015 18:06:16
Cannock what do you expect from this season? We are looking like a mid table side who with a bit of luck and Britt possibly back early 2016 could make a push to sneak a play off position. DF should have all season as a minimum-another sacking could result in a relegation scrap and who would have the guts to apply for the vacant managers job? Certainly no one who would please you.

6.) 14 Oct 2015
14 Oct 2015 18:31:20
Dominant display against boro? You're deluded pal. Just because we got 2 wins you can't live off that for the rest of the year.

7.) 14 Oct 2015
14 Oct 2015 18:45:42
2 tone we are looking more relegation fodder than mid table under DF. You don't know who would apply for the job so you shouldn't make such bold statements

8.) 14 Oct 2015
14 Oct 2015 18:51:11
Just because you lose a couple doesn't mean you sack your manager. We are under an embargo with a lot of injuries I guess some fans are never happy

9.) 14 Oct 2015
14 Oct 2015 19:24:33
Lose a couple? Are you taking the wee wee?

10.) 14 Oct 2015

Yawn yawn yawn Cannock!!
But i do agree with the poster about it being important to start being more positive away from home. Stop basing selections on simply being away. Let's go out and take the game to the lesser teams and not give them too much respect. After that performance last night there are no excuses for not playing williams more. He is clearly a class act and would improve our side. Would like to see a midfield trio of Lansbury, Vaughan and williams start on Friday and play a far more forward pressing game. If we aren't playing mancienne at centre back I am actually pleased he isn't available. He is a hindrance in midfield and one of the main reasons we don't play further up the pitch

14 oct 2015 19:54:36
keeno so you think i'm wrong to slag off freedman and then post about everything you think he's doing wrong? If only you were manager keeno. You should put your name forward.

12.) 14 Oct 2015
14 oct 2015 20:39:30
get rid of douggie win lose or draw

13.) 14 Oct 2015
14 oct 2015 20:40:52
cannock - if you got your way and got rid of df keeno would probably be the calibre of manager that we'd be looking at-no offence keeno 😊 but hopefully you get what i mean although i do think some fans will only be happy when the clubs destroyed!!

14.) 14 Oct 2015
14 oct 2015 20:54:58
i think pearson would be interested

15.) 14 Oct 2015
14 oct 2015 21:47:28
pearson would last about 5 games if he didn't start winning straight away you'd want rid

{Ed003's Note - lets keep this civil please}

14 oct 2015 21:58:23
2 tone df and fawaz are not exactly helping the club from destruction it's nothing to do with me. I only want the best for nffc as i'm sure we all do.

18.) 14 Oct 2015
14 oct 2015 22:08:12
having a good run of wins would be good even pearce managed that let's just carry on losing because of the ffp rules lol

19.) 14 Oct 2015
14 oct 2015 22:20:43
i know its not all rosey at the cg but fawaz is putting money in and df is working hard and has now got a good bunch of players that he will hopefully get working together soon.

20.) 14 Oct 2015
14 oct 2015 22:32:49
it could be argued 2 tone that fawaz has caused ou r current position. Df isn't capable of getting us out of our current position. Let's wish him well and aim a bit higher.

the crowds attendance at the city ground and away saying it all at the minute can't remember the last time i was excited about watching forest play and that's what its all about can any of u remember the last time u got excited about watching forest 🔥 fire

cannock you talk of pearson but he was garbage at leicester initially. He did well because he got time to get a settled squad and build something. With your logic constantly he would have gone long before he got to that point. I'm not saying df is the right man but he deseves an opportunity to find out when the club is in a settled position with his squad assembled and settled. If he has that opportunity and it doesn't work then yes, get rid, but the past few years has proved that short term targets and chopping and changing simply does not work on the whole

23.) 15 Oct 2015
15 oct 2015 06:44:45
keeno if what you say is right (and i agree with you actually). Then why did we sack pearce? I don't want a manager sacked every 5 minutes but df isn't the right man for the job. Even when he wins a game he changes the team and cocks it up. You talk of a settled side but df doesn't seem to want a settled side. Whether you like df or not i think we are all agreed we haven't got a clue what his tactics are all about.

24.) 15 Oct 2015

freedman is doing a quality job.

And I agree with the principal around SP. I'd have given him the season definitely. The only difference I would say is that the results might not be there but the performances at the moment are far better than they were under SP. They were some of the worst I have seen for a long time. And on the tactically poor subject u mentioned, SP was worse by a long way. Least we look reasonably organised, solid, working hard at the moment. We looked disorganised, no effort, no commitment under SP and I think a bit part of it was the fact that he appeared to have lost the dressing room. I do agree with your point though

26.) 15 Oct 2015
15 Oct 2015 10:49:27
We can't just keep getting rid of managers after 6-12 months because things are not going our way. It takes times to build a squad and DF has not had any money to do so. I was against sacking Pearce too, but sure look how that turned out. There is not much out there at the moment. So why not stop complaining for once and get behind the team. We could be top of the Championship and people will find an excuse to complain. You either love the club or you don't. We are called Supporters no Moaners!

27.) 15 Oct 2015
15 Oct 2015 12:50:38
Cannock, with your cheery outlook on everything I would imagine you are on the phone to the Samaritans every day. Did you actually watch the Boro game? A draw was the least we deserved and very unlucky to not get all 3 against Huddlesfield. We are missing 3 of our best players through injury, whether they all regain full fitness remains to be seen but still they are all a big miss. DF has had no money to spend but through the sale of Antonio has managed to get some very good loanees in which has strengthened us all over. Mendes has settled very quick and looks great. Of course I would prefer to be top 6 right now but the team is looking much stronger than the start of the season, I would also expect us to get all 3 on Friday too. I think under the circumstances DF has done a good job. Remember we are only just into October, a bit early to be hitting the panic button I think. I see there are still a lot of positive comments on here too which is great and I think we should all get behind the manager and team, all this talk of a new manager is just ridiculous. 3 points Friday, come on!

28.) 15 Oct 2015
15 Oct 2015 16:24:43
Barring any more injuries I'm quietly optimistic that this team will keep getting better and hopefully come on strong in the latter part of the season. I'd rather sneak in the back door late on than be up there now.

29.) 16 Oct 2015
16 Oct 2015 06:38:41
Through the sale of Antonio? How does that one work? None of that money was used on any loan player as that is against ffp rules so I'm not buying that comment. Nobody has moaned about the players he's bought in and nobody is arguing about weather the squad is better than the start of the season. Its what is happening on the points front that people aren't happy. We have a very strong squad but he continues to put square pegs in round holes and playing mills at the back whe mm and Hobbs were both fit. Ginger are you happy that we have won 1 drawn 1 and lost 8 of our last 10 home games? Do you think that is acceptable? Because I don't.

30.) 16 Oct 2015
16 Oct 2015 10:47:45
So Selling Antonio didn't free up any money to spend on new loanee wages? I'm sure Antonio wasn't playing for free. I didn't say people were moaning about the players brought in or that people were arguing whether or not we are stronger, they were just statements showing we are moving in the right direction so no need to get out of your tricky tree about it mate. Yeah, the points don't lie of course but I honestly don't think we are very far from getting it right and moving up the table. Quoting stats included from last season isn't realistic but if you think they are relative to where we are now you carry on. DF has had to make a lot of changes and has brought new players in and I think it is starting to show promise, there are bound to be some disappointing results during transition but just think we should be a bit more patient is all.
