Well done u reds. Even with my red tinted specs I thought we deserved three points. didn't realise Lucy Lampard was a belly aching little lamb. he ought to have been thanking the ref for not reducing the sheep to nine instead of the crowing. AK must sign Jack Colback for next season, he is a gem. Also Janko as every chance of making the right back spot his own if given a fair crack despite Darikwas improvement. U REDS.

If we are to seriously challenge for top 2 this season we need to drastically sort out our home form.

If you analyse our results we've had three 1-0 wins (all late winners) when the result could quite easily have gone either way.

Also scraped a draw against Brum and millwall who both deserved to beat us on the day.

The only games we dominated were west brom, sheff wed and Ipswich.

Only way I believe to do this is for a change in formation at home, we can't keep playing two holding midfielders. Any thoughts?

Maybe 4-1-4-1 so u getting that extra midfielder up the pitch

I’m an advocate of 4-3-3 but the way we play 2 holding midfielders seems necessary because our full backs to provide width and attacking threat.

Agreed kirkby we need to be scoring more goals at home 3 or 4 nils to improve goal difference it could make a big difference at the end of the season

Blimey apps you don’t want much do you? I’d be happy with a bit more positivity at home and I’m sure we would get a few 3 or 4 nils but I won’t be worried about goal difference yet 😯

We were never going up this season - surely people didn’t really think we would did they?

Agree0 4Disagree

18 Dec 2018 21:11:08
2star, Why do you say that?
Some have hoped we would go up this season, that has been based on how the club worked in the summers transfer window and how the club has spoken to the media.
Off course if we were not expected to be at least fighting it out to go up why would our owner speak to the players when things were not going as he wanted.

I think we might go up if we can. wait for it. make a couple of stellar signings. BOOM!

But I mean it. We are about as good as Norwich on our day. We can do it this season.

We also already pretty much play with one holding midfielder when we play Geddy alongside Colback at home so not sure how gung ho you want to be.

To say that we did not deserve anything against Brum is the most crass comment I have read, anyone at the game would know we should have been 4 up at half time. If we can get Tobias and Dawson back on the park we will be challenging for a play off place especially if we can add a couple of players in the transfer window and then it’s down to the playoffs and I would back AK to get us through. There is a desire and team spirit that we have not had for many seasons. Long may it continue.

Does anyone know what's happened to Fuentes? Last I heard he was being allowed to use our facilities for his rehabilitation.

If it is true it is bad news, he has been said to be one of best players to come out of the club and is still only seventeen. I know any young player is a gamble, but he should be loaned out to improve further. The club must be in a bad way, to pay for future players by having to sell our best young players.

Given his age you have to put a price on his head because the Prem Academy system hoovers up the talent on big wages and he is not going get first team money at Forest this season

Seen him a couple of times for the U23's. Thought he was a bit head down and run with the ball. But that could just be his age.
Maybe you put on a hefty price tag and it goes to tribunal, you get a better result

"It is not just another game" AK's words about Mondays game. Having read his thoughts about it in Nottinghamshire Live it is obvious to me that he is fully aware how much it means to us. It will be a feisty affair I have no doubt! YOU REDS!

I fear a walloping but hoping not. Don't know why I feel so pessimistic since people seem to think their defence is as weak as ours. If Colback could play left back I'd have him there with Geddy and Yacob in the centre of midfield. Their nippy youngsters might run rings round Heff. Could Darikwa play left back and Janko right back? I suppose AK doesn't want to fiddle too much, but this match worries me more than others as it could be either their or our turning point in the season.

15 Dec 2018 21:22:21
Why would you fear a whalloping?
Our away form is great and if anything we should be favourites.
Defensively they've got Keogh, what can possibly go wrong with him in their side???

Agree0 1Disagree

16 Dec 2018 08:54:23
Our defence is a major concern. I'd rather have Murphy playing at left back instead of Osborn, that's how bad he is in that position. You will see derby target that area time and time again, just like every other team.

Just watched Newcastle's classic counter attacking game at Huddersfield. AK will have set us up the same way to hit their soft centre on the break.

I can see Keogh or one of their defenders getting a red card when they get exposed on the break.

I'm sticking with my 4-1 win prediction

Told something on Saturday at the Preston game that I would love to be true. The people who sit next to me in the Trent End had been told Forest would be making an announcement in May that plans for a new main stand would be made public. The plan is to construct the shell of the new stand around the old one to get maximum use before it is demolished and the inner construction starts. Sounds a bit futuristic but Marinakis is just the man to go for such a plan. We can but dream. If it did happen we would have a super stadium to be proud of and a greatly increased capacity. U REDS.

As long as we stay at our iconic stadium i am all for it. Is their a better sight in football when walking over trent brudge when the ground comes into view????

Agree4 0Disagree

14 Dec 2018 18:55:57
Not sure about the stadium being iconic but the location certainly is. If this happens they will need to do some land / highway deals to improve safe access to the ground and enlarge the back of house areas to the other stands if we stay.

The proposed new bridge crossing at Holme Pierrepont could free up the road traffic around the ground.

Red you should try rush hour anywhere around Notts, built loads of roads still gridlocked,M1,A 50 junc 24 A the pathway to Nottingham, still a joke and cost millions, there's knowhere with easy access to and from Notts if we were to build a new ground,Clifton the only option, but always has accidents and the airport

Hull City also linked with a loan move for the player.

Good!! Proper order too,the owner wants the PL and selling players of his quality won’t achieve promotion. We need to keep him and get a new contract sorted soon and not leave it drag on.
